When I came into the project the initial UX and Architecture of the site had been completed. I was to focus on the UI as well as any visual design flourishes to the site. Whether that be page transitions or something like animations.
Working with Vitro's Creative and Art Directors I was able to slowly develop a style that was clean, simple, elegant and focused on showing what was important, the work.
The one continous branded element was a subtle pirate theme to everything Vitro does. One of the challenges was to subtly incorporate this theme while never over-doing it. Think absolutely no "Rrrrgh" and more of a modern, take-no-prisoners attitude for an Ad Agency with a mantra of WE STEAL SHARE. Dark black water, touches of bright yellow on black, and a light sprinkling of skull badassery cover the site.
